Thankfull Sturdee and the Deptford Jack

Thankfull Sturdee was born in Deptford in 1852. A press photographer for the Daily Mirror in later life, he also took many local photographs which are in Lewisham's archives and were used in the 1980 book One Man's Deptford which was published by Lewisham Council.
